COMING UP @ UPTOWN
Uptown is a worshiping community that exists to renew the neighborhoods of Northern Manhattan with the historic, revolutionary Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Join our mission through these upcoming events and opportunities.

 
PRAY AND READ DIFFERENTLY
Foundations is an Uptown Learning Journey designed to deepen your engagement with prayer and bible reading. 
  • Erin Brasher will guide us to explore what prayer is, why it matters, and how to grow in confidence as we talk with God.
  • Then Ava Ligh will cover the big picture of Scripture, share helpful information and tools for interpretation, and present practical ways to read the Bible in daily life.
Whether you're new to prayer and Bible reading, or looking for fresh insights, this learning journey will help you engage these spiritual disciples with curiosity and joy.

The registration fee ($40) covers lunch for all four sessions, but please choose the rate that is affordable for you (including $0).

EXPLORE THEOLOGY TOGETHER

Knowing & Doing is designed for everyday believers who want to grow in their understanding of God, Scripture, and the Christian faith—no seminary degree required!

Pastor Reyn will guide you to explore big questions in a way that’s accessible and practical, with space for discussion, curiosity, and learning together. Whether you're considering leadership in the church or just want a stronger foundation for your faith, this course will help you grow with confidence.

MEET PASTOR TONY MYLES

Rev. Tony Myles has been a pastor for over 20 years, currently for Christ Central Church, a PCA congregation in Charlotte, NC. A St. Louis native, he previously led a network of community outreach organizations under his church’s leadership, which served neighbors facing financial and societal challenges.

We’re delighted to welcome Rev. Myles as our guest preacher on March 16. Immediately afterwards, we invite you to stay for an interview, as he shares insights from his experience leading three congregations that align with Uptown’s values and missional DNA.

 
JOIN Q&A WITH AN ELDER

20 & 30 Somethings are hosting a Q&A with an elder Joe Spix. The Q&As have been thoughtful conversations providing members of Uptown's Leadership Team the opportunity to share their faith story, how they juggle ministry and work, more about their role and how Uptown serves its membership and the larger community. This is a chance for you to meet Joe, and ask any question you have about faith, ministry, or Uptown. For more information, please email 20s30s@uptowncommunitychurch.com

 
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

 
UNITY IN THE COMMUNITY
Save the date for a block party on March 29. While the party is being coordinated by Dyckman Heights Church (the church our own Peter Rhee is helping plant), it's a community event, and we all can be involved! Please stay tuned for more details.

 
PRAYER & FELLOWSHIP
Join us on Sunday, April 6 from 12pm-2:30pm for a Women's Prayer Walk and Brunch. We will walk around the neighborhood and make prayer stops with a women's lens. It will be followed by a brunch at Laura Sarkissian's home at 1pm. Come for one part or both parts, but please RSVP to Laura (laura_kanter@yahoo.com) and Danielle (dgluz95@gmail.com) by April 1.

 
SAVE THE DATES
Children's Ministry invites you to come to an upcoming Children's Ministry Breakfast. Children's Ministry Breakfasts help to equip mentors and parents with practical ways to communicate the Gospel to our kids and teens. If you are a parent, caregiver, mentor, or interested in becoming a Children's Ministry mentor- please join us for this special and refreshing time of sharing food and community together.
